NASHVILLE, TN
The newly renovated Grand Lobby at Nashville International Airport was opened to the public in late January 2023. Featuring a massive airwave, sweeping roof canopy reminiscent of an acoustic guitar when viewed from above – a casual nod to Nashville’s musical heritage. Throughout the roof canopy Acurlite Structural Skylights, Inc. provided 27 single pitch skylights and 1 oculus skylight at the heart of the lobby. This new 200,000-square-foot grand lobby ties all concourses together with one single entry point.
Acurlite was brought onboard early in this project in a collaborative design development contract to make sure the project would fly high! Acurlite was contracted to design, develop, and engineer a series of complex skylights that would integrate seamlessly with the building and give the design team the look and feel they wanted.
