Raymond M. Blasco MD Memorial Library – Erie County Public Library – Erie, PA – The skylight provides a welcoming and comfortable space for visitors. Artwork from a local artist, called Aquatic Dancers, is displayed underneath the skylight.

Orlando International Airport, Orlando FL – The new skylight system connects those arriving and working within the space to the welcoming surroundings and the Florida sunshine outside. Orlando International Airport serves 44.3-million passengers annually. The Intermodal Terminal Facility is the first building on the airport campus to meet the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED v4 certification standards.

Penn State Health and Human Development, Henderson Building State College, PA Two custom low rise single pitch skylights. Acurlite’s flush glazed horizontal joints allow for low-rise capabilities. Skylights are pitched at ½ / 12 to give the building the natural daylight the architect was looking for without any obstructions in view from surrounding buildings.

PSU Hetzel Union Building State College, PA Custom segmented single pitch skylight with a three-stage interior gutter. No two pieces of glass or panel on this skylight are alike in size or shape. The three buildings with one common space to enhance the student experience. The skylight allows natural daylight into the space while also offering a complex undulating effect across the roof. The skylight was installed to overlay the steel with a ¼” tolerance.

Penn State University Edward Steidle Building State College, PA One large lean-to structure with partial gable ends. Lean-to skylight with large front wall adds to the overall height and feel of the space, creating a grand entrance and welcoming space.

Theodore Roosevelt Senior High School Washington, D.C. Originally constructed in 1932, the renovated Roosevelt campus is centered around a newly enclosed, central atrium that serves as the “heart” of the modernized school. Over 7,200 square feet of glass covers the atrium. Incorporated into the glass was an electrocromatic glazing system that was chosen as a solution to reduce the heat and glare and keeping students and staff comfortable throughout the year.

David Whitney Building Detroit, MI Originally built in 1914, this 19-floor building underwent renovations in 2011. A main focal point to this $82 million renovation was a new skylight illuminating the classically inspired interior.

The Kathleen Grimm School for Leadership and Sustainability at Sandy Ground – P.S. 62 Net Zero Energy School, Staten Island, NY The cutting-edge building yields as much energy from renewable on-site sources as it uses on an annual basis. The skylights on P.S. 62 helps to achieve an energy-use reduction of 50% over a standard New York City public school.

Malcolm X College, College of Health Sciences, Academic Building Chicago, IL One segmented oval single pitch skylight with no gable ends. Part of a $251 million project, the entrance hallway and lobby of the new College of Health Sciences building, showcases Malcom X’s actual Oldsmobile 98, underneath the large skylight.

St. Paul’s School Concord, NH One custom three-sided skylight enclosure with heat-mirror glass. Skylight enclosure created new cafeteria and common area for students and faculty to gather. Custom enclosure incorporated operable windows to assist with the overall function of the space.

The Out Hotel New York, NY Originally designed as one of New York’s first gay-themed hotels. Contemporary style and a tranquil vibe that encourages relaxation, the skylight provides fantastic views of the Great Lawn, the spa atrium, the sun deck, or the city skyline.

The Mercedes Club New York, NY One of New York’s swankiest gyms, The Mercedes Club is an urban fitness oasi-of-the-art equipment for the city’s most elite. Swimmers can enjoy views of the sky as they swim in the lap pool.

Pinelawn Memorial Park Farmingdale, NY One custom-segmented polygon. This skylight provided the client an alternative to clerestory windows and artificial lighting. The natural daylight from the skylight made the space more inviting and enhanced the experience to those visiting.

Danville Recreation Center Danville, PA The building, originally constructed in 1983, used a fiberglass insulated panel in the skylight which deteriorated over time and caused unsightly and watertight issues. The owner decided to replace it with a glass skylight which provided a beautiful daylight solution over the swimming pool area.

Edenwald Townson, Maryland The curved barrel vault skylight serves as an entry canopy to this retirement lifestyle building in the heart of Towson, one of Maryland’s most sought-after neighborhoods.

The Bronx Grit Chamber Wards Island, New York, NY The Bronx Grit Chamber was built as a sewage disposal plant for The Ward’s Island Sewage Treatment Works, New York City’s first major effort to alleviate water pollution. As one of the world’s largest and most modern facilities of its kind, it is capable of treating one-fifth of the city’s sewage. Light for the interior is provided by a large custom skylight that spans the entire roof while still maintaining the original neoclassical design of this 1930’s building. The Bronx Grit Chamber is a designated New York City Individual Landmark.

Luxottica Group Headquarters Long Island, NY Luxottica is a global leader in the design, manufacture, and distribution of fashion, luxury, and sports eyewear. With retail stores around the world, it’s vital to have a strong interior at your corporate office to back it up. The interior space includes two floors surrounding an open lobby space illuminated above by a custom skylight. Starting with the skylight, this space is a contemporary design with sleek, clean lines, and an inviting feel.

Disney Polynesian Village Resort Orlando, FL With the lobby themed to reflect the style and culture of the South Pacific, our skylight illuminates the entire lobby of this three-story high atrium. The Disney Polynesian was one of the two original hotels built in 1971 for the Walt Disney World Resort.

Queens Borough Hall Kew Gardens, NY Queens Borough Hall is a public building in the Queens borough of New York City which houses many city offices. Construction consisted of the enclosure of an existing exterior courtyard area to create a new multi-purpose space. Arched structural steel trusses wrapped with metal seam roofing with glass skylights form the roof.

University of Maryland Eastern Shore – Engineering, Aviation, Computer and Mathematical Sciences Building (EACMS) Princess Anne, MD UMES has experienced significant growth in recent years. The solution was to build a new campus facility that includes two separate spaces linked with a central atrium which includes informal gathering spaces supportive of collaborative dialogue between students from all the departments housed in the building.
