The newly renovated Schwarzman Center at Yale University was transformational for the university in providing, for the first time, a center for student life and the arts at the heart of campus. The historic Schwarzman Center is now a new student union, offering a commons and public events space that will give Yale a central hub dedicated to cultural programming and student life spaces for community gatherings and the arts.
A series of five single-pitch skylights was provided by Acurlite. This provides a long, sky-lit mezzanine above the commons, which houses office space and lounge study nooks for students.
